朝のショコラ一口啜りながむるは夕べ届きし雪国の冬

from a snowy country
友と私を20数年前にもてなしてくれたフィンランドの姉妹からのクリスマスカード。
雪景色の写真は夏に彼らと小島へ渡った湖の今の姿です。裏面はその折の思い出話。

友の家のツリーは北欧風です。
亡きお父様の雪景色の絵とよく合います。
待降節最後の日は寒いけれど穏やかに晴れました。
Christmas tree at my friend's house is in Scandinavian style.
This snowy landscape was painted by her deceased father.
It was the last day of Advent, a chilly and sunny day.
Christmas with
neither trees nor candles,
and yet
tinsel garlands of thunberg's meadowsweet
swing in our small garden

温度を上げ抽出時間を減らしながら淹れた二煎目、三煎目の
それぞれ異なる味わいも堪能しました。
ちょっとワインのテイスティング気分？
My friend brewed high-quality Japanese tea, Uji-cha.
What a wonderful marriage of tea and sweet bean jelly!
留学経験もある友人には、外国の知人がたくさんいました。
世界のどこに戦火が上がっても、誰彼を思い出して胸を痛めることになります。
SNSなど無かった時代ゆえ、消息のつかめない人の方が多いのです。
snowdropも台湾のKさんをよく思い出します。
講義ノートを貸してあげたり、手作りの栗きんとんをおすそ分けしたりしたら、
こんな立派な飾りものや装身具をお礼にくれました。今はどうしているかしら。
She has studied in Denmark and has many foreign acquaintances.
When conflicts or wars occur, she always worry about them.
Snowdrop also think about some friends such as a student from Taiwan,
who gave me the above Chinese-style ornament and others.
